Compensation
Hourly rate: $20–$30 per hour.
Job Responsibilities- Manage and control upkeep operations on a shift basis to ensure safe, compliant, and dependable operations.
- Act as primary point of contact for aircraft out of service and for the technical reputation of all aircraft in Frontier’s fleet.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulation §121.378(b) and Frontier’s Maintenance Guide policies.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel on operational and procedural matters.
- Authorize aircraft removal from service if maintenance is incomplete, and coordinate necessary repairs.
- Prioritize safety and maintain aircraft to uncompromising safety requirements.
- Authorize usage of maintenance vendors for emergency repair and ferry flights at non‑preservation sites.
- Approve and develop MEL/CDL deferrals following Frontier’s maintenance policies.
- Coordinate aircraft out of service events with maintenance, service, technical assistance, and engineering to reduce downtime.
- Generate reports on delays, cancellations, and performance statistics for management.
- Maintain shift logs of all communications and activities related to out‑of‑service aircraft.
- Ensure smooth handover to incoming employees, maintaining continuity of work.
- Knowledge of airline maintenance practices, federal aviation guidelines, and Frontier’s Maintenance Guide.
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required.
- FCC First Class Radio Technician certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years line maintenance experience OR 2 years C‑check experience and 2 years avionics troubleshooting experience.
- Prior experience as a maintenance manager is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Airbus A318/A319 aircraft desirable.
- Strong safety, integrity, collaboration, and passion for the organization’s values.
- Ability to plan, organize, and supervise workloads of subordinates.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of interfacing with engineering, maintenance, purchasing, flight operations, flight crews, and dispatchers.
