Omaha National is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. This position will focus primarily on accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate is a detailed, well-organized individual with an accounting background able to multi-task and meet deadlines. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the premium audit invoicing process; including reviewing, calculating, recording, and emailing customer invoices.
- Assist in the monthly invoicing process; including generating and emailing customer invoices.
- Administer the calculation and processing of broker commission payments.
- Process customer payments via ACH and check; manage customer bank credentials; organize, file, and reconcile deposits and receipts.
- Monitor customer account balances by examining payment plans and payment history (collection efforts are performed outside of this position).
- Research, analyze, and reconcile any discrepancies found in AR records.
- Provide positive, clear, and effective correspondence with internal account managers.
- Experience in General Accounting.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field is a plus but not required.
- Experience using an accounting software is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Able to produce accurate work quickly and consistently, and with a sense of urgency.
- Strong written and communication skills.
