[Contract-to-Hire] Accounts Receivable & Office Associate
Our client is a growing leader in the commercial building materials and construction logistics industry. They have built a strong reputation by combining exceptional customer service with technology that keeps projects and supply chains moving efficiently across North America.
They are looking to add an Accounts Receivable & Office Associate to their Omaha branch on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. This role offers the opportunity to learn the business from the ground up, with the potential to grow into a leadership position as the branch continues to expand.
This is more than a traditional AR role. You'll partner with finance, sales, and customers every day, making you an important part of the branch's success. The ideal candidate is confident, organized, and comfortable having direct conversations about payments while building strong working relationships.
What You'll Do- Process accounts receivable transactions, customer payments, and billing.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Partner with customers and internal sales teams to manage outstanding balances and payment questions.
- Assist with month-end close by ensuring financial records are accurate and complete.
- Support daily office operations, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and maintaining organized records.
- Experience in accounts receivable, B2B billing, collections, bookkeeping, or a similar accounting role.
- Confident communicating with customers and handling payment conversations professionally.
- Someone who can enforce company credit and payment policies while maintaining positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in distribution, logistics, construction, or building materials is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience working in an accounting or ERP system.
- 6-month contract-to-hire with a structured onboarding and training period.
