Construction Accountant

Looking for the next step in your accounting career? MyStaff is partnering with a well-established Omaha construction company is adding a Construction Accountant / AP Specialist to its close-knit team.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounts payable and accounting foundation who is ready to take on more responsibility in a construction accounting environment. If you've worked in construction, project accounting, or understand job cost accounting, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll Do:

• Process high-volume accounts payable invoices
• Match invoices, code expenses, and manage vendor payments
• Assist with job cost and project accounting
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end accounting activities
• Work closely with project managers and the accounting team

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience
• Construction, project accounting, or job cost experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• No degree required—experience is what matters
