Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, Part Time 12-Month

Reports To: Designated Supervisor
Essential Qualifications- High school diploma
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a professional office setting
- Strong communication skills with experience in managing challenging phone calls
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to work as a team with students, families, staff, faculty and administrators
- Able to operate personal computer, laptop computer, peripheral equipment, photocopier, fax machine, and other office equipment with a high degree of skill
- Highly motivated with strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple concurrent priorities
- Self-starter; able to work independently
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Prior experience directly related to essential job functions listed below
- Perform receptionist duties on a specified schedule
- Provide support to all building staff
- Answer district phone, transfer calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries by staff, parents, or patrons of the district
- Respond to walk‑ins by staff, parents, vendors or patrons of the district
- Understand the role and process of our Welcome Center
- Work positively and successfully in a team environment
- File and sort paperwork
- Type and/or draft letters of correspondence
- Schedule and organize meetings or events, including coordination and set‑up of needed supplies
- Good attendance
- Maintain confidentiality
- Attend meetings and training as directed
- Present and communicate in a professional manner
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Typical office environment with usual office machines; lifting of office supplies and other items on occasion (up to 25 lbs unassisted)
- Required to consistently demonstrate adherence to all types of security requirements and accepted practices
