Position Summary
Under general supervision, supports communication and customer outreach functions at the District. Engages with Business Development to strategize and design initiatives such as natural gas and water infrastructure replacement, and lead service line replacement programs. Crafts material for proactive customer outreach and facilitates presentation of information at community events related to Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) or infrastructure replacement. Assists Customer Engagement staff with tracking outreach and documentation for regulatory compliance.
Education- Required:
One (1) year of college completed with a study emphasis in communications, public relations, or a related field. If a recent graduate, must be pursuing post graduate hours.

Have and maintain a valid driver’s license upon hire. - Required:
Pre‐employment background check and drug screen upon hire.
Skills and Abilities
- Time management, planning, and organizational skills with attention to accuracy and details (Intermediate proficiency).
- Efficient written and verbal communication skills, in English, to assist internal and external customers, co‑workers and management professionally, regardless of provocation (Intermediate proficiency).
- Self‑starter (Entry proficiency).
- Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing tasks (Entry proficiency).
- Demonstrate an aptitude for working on several projects at one time and meeting deadlines (Entry proficiency).
- Proficiency with personal computers, tablets, and other electronic devices, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and enterprise‑wide software such as SAP (Intermediate proficiency).
- Ability to learn new or upgraded computer software as required (Entry proficiency).
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary (Entry proficiency).
- Collaborate with Business Development staff to create and implement a program for effective community outreach regarding lead service line replacements and gas/water infrastructure replacements. This may include coordinating meetings, creating and organizing documents, and researching best practices from established programs.
- Assist with planning and presentations for district‑hosted and/or community events.
- Create and update spreadsheets, coordinate the printing and mailing of outreach materials, and accurately track and schedule lead service replacements.
- Provide support to Customer Engagement staff, as directed.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to data entry, mailings, and department inventory.
- Perform a variety of other duties as assigned.
- Understand and comply with all district policies and procedures.
- Combination: work may be performed in an office setting amid normal conditions of dust, odors, fumes, office lighting and noise, but field/plant visits are required.
