Records Clerk/Cashier (Civil/Small Claims)

Hiring Rate: $16.954 per hour
Job DescriptionClassification level performs clerical work under immediate supervision in a county court under the supervision of a clerk magistrate, a clerk of court, or a division manager.
Responsibilities- Performing clerical functions in assigned service area civil/small claims by responding to routine inquiries.
- Verifying files/information for missing details, accuracy, and distributing to appropriate staff for correction.
- Preparing and processing motions.
- Compiling and maintaining records by sorting, filing, scanning files and related documents.
- Performing data entry, receiving fees/fines and other payments, and performing other general office duties.
Starting Salary: $35,264.16 annually (Hiring Rate).
Immediate Growth:
Earn a 2.5% pay increase after successfully completing your probation period (if starting at Hiring Rate). Higher starting pay may be considered based on education and experience, subject to final management approval.
Future Increases:
Annual cost-of-living adjustments (applied on July
1) are subject to State Legislature approval.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

Positions in this class work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required, not to exceed 20 LBS.
