This classification level performs a variety of high‑level support/clerical tasks that require exceptional attention to detail of work processes to promote effective and expeditious decision making of the following: wills, special administrations, estates, guardian ships, and conservatorships. The role includes review and acceptance of electronic and over‑the‑counter filings, case assignment, file assembly, and entry of case information into court software. Responsible for monitoring case progression for timeline compliance and preparing notices and correspondence for probate hearings, as instructed by the Judges, Judicial Administrator, or Clerk Magistrate.
General duties also include answering phones, processing mail, receipting money, and performing other general office duties.
- Associate degree in a related field, or High School Diploma/G.E.D. combined with 4 years of related experience.
- Familiarity with customer service principles, computer applications, and federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Strong data entry skills, ability to maintain records accurately, and use standard office equipment and software.
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a sedentary environment with occasional effort not exceeding 20 lbs.
- All educational credits must be from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
