Administrative Specialist
We are seeking an Administrative Specialist to join our team focused on medical billing for home healthcare. This role is ideal for a candidate who is eager to learn and grow, though experienced professionals are also welcome.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support and manage various administrative tasks.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a personable and engaging approach.
- Assist in medical billing and handle claims efficiently.
- Perform accounting tasks including invoicing and reconciliations.
- Identify and solve problems, ensuring accuracy in claims processing.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, to create spreadsheets and pivot tables.
- Contribute to process improvements through curiosity and technical skills.
- Demonstrate accountability and responsibility in all tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Typing speed of 35-45 WPM.
- Ability to communicate effectively and proactively.
- Accountability and responsibility in completing tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Background in medical billing or healthcare is advantageous.
- Experience with claims is beneficial.
- Knowledge in accounting or reconciliations is helpful.
- Technical skills with a focus on AI and process improvement.
- Potential for growth into an account manager role.
The role is based in a small office environment with most colleagues working remotely. Initially, this position requires onsite work, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule after six months. Work hours are flexible, with options including 8-5, 9-6, or 6:30-3:30.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.63 - $28.84/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
