Key Account Manager
Location:
Omaha, Nebraska
Salary: $90,000–$100,000 + bonus
Must-Have Qualifications- Proven experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- Strong relationship-building and customer management skills
- Advanced analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, and Excel
- Ability to travel up to 35–40%
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
We are seeking a results-driven Key Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for key customers and drive strategic growth initiatives. This role is responsible for strengthening customer partnerships, analyzing sales performance, and identifying new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is highly relationship-focused, data-driven, and experienced in managing complex accounts within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary liaison for assigned key accounts, ensuring seamless day-to-day communication and collaboration
- Facilitate transparent communication between internal teams and customers to support joint initiatives
- Act as a customer advocate while balancing company objectives
- Analyze sales performance to identify upsell, cross-sell, and new product opportunities
- Monitor and report customer business changes, trends, and organizational updates
- Conduct annual on-site business reviews to evaluate performance and align on future goals
- Manage special pricing strategies to remain competitive while protecting margins
- Identify underperforming products and implement improvement strategies
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with company objectives
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders
- Utilize a consultative selling approach to uncover needs and recommend solutions
- Collaborate with product development teams to tailor offerings to customer requirements
- Travel as needed (typically quarterly, up to 35–40%)
- Strong revenue growth within assigned accounts
- High customer satisfaction and retention
- Effective cross-functional collaboration
- Data-driven account strategies that produce measurable results
