HDR, an engineering, architecture and construction service firm, is seeking a Retirement Plan Administrator for its corporate human resources group based in Omaha, NE.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties include administration of the 401(k) plan and ESOP, HDR stock program, international phantom share programs, Canada RRSP, and deferred compensation programs. Specific responsibilities are detailed below.
- 401(k) Plan Administration:
- Maintain participant data, wire and process contributions and distributions.
- Coordinate loan recordkeeping and employer allocations with payroll.
- Assist with plan mergers, audits, filings (5500) and participant inquiries.
- Review and create reports for accuracy.
- HDR Stock Program Administration:
- Administer employee stock buy/sell arrangements and reconcile census data.
- Process sales for terminated or diversification‑eligible employees.
- Prepare reports for leadership and respond to redemption queries.
- Coordinate with the plan recordkeeper.
- International Phantom Share Administration:
- Coordinate enrollment and education webinars.
- Prepare and process distributions and payroll files by country.
- Canada RRSP Administration:
- Enroll employees and oversee annual wellness meetings.
- Approve distributions and submit payroll files.
- Deferred Compensation (Non‑Qualified) and Phantom Share Buy/Sell:
- Administer executive deferred compensation and buy/sell processes.
- Verify daily and annual numbers reported to executive management.
- At least 3 years hands‑on experience with retirement plans (401(k), ESOP, or comparable ERISA plans).
- In‑depth knowledge of ERISA laws and regulations.
- Experience with phantom share or Canadian retirement plans is a plus.
- Deferred compensation program experience is a plus.
- Experience with company‑sponsored buy/sell arrangements is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of benefits or finance experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, HRIS and payroll systems.
- Strong organizational, prioritization and deadline‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment and discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build relationships.
- Efficient communication and a positive attitude toward employee‑owned culture.
- Limited travel may be required.
