Job Summary
The Sr Business Relations Analyst is responsible for building partnerships with external businesses, managing relationships, and identifying potential areas of interest for the organization. These relationships are established with business partners to provide value to clients and shareholders. The position requires familiarity with company onboarding expectations to meet security and legal needs. It requires partnership with internal stakeholders to understand potential opportunities and frame requests for proposals that match the business need.
The role will effectively support and consult with operating areas using the partnership development process from the pre-RFP process through the final contracting stages and into the maintenance of current business partnerships. The role is project-based and requires work on projects that involve research, analysis, presentation, communication and negotiation.
This is a 100% in-office position. Candidates must be able to work on-site at a designated company office during standard business hours.
Essential Responsibilities- Executes the Partnership Development Process for large sourcing events.
- Research market conditions and partner solutions.
- Correspond with stakeholders to identify needs and develop use cases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare Request for Proposal.
- Coordinate distribution of Request for Proposal and collection of responses.
- Complete impartial evaluation of vendors and offerings by comparing strengths and weaknesses.
- Manage the selection of approved vendors and document the evaluation/selection process.
- Formulate negotiation map – identify risks and benefits of negotiation alternatives.
- Negotiate payment terms and service level agreements.
- Implement contract and monitor performance – adjust in accordance with terms and changing regulatory controls with modifications to agreement.
- Draft, analyze, evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts and service level agreements, including routing agreements through legal review to execution and retention.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to compare solutions and contract spend.
- Collaborate with shareholders, including senior company executives, legal staff, and CTS, on projects, contract negotiations and Requests for Proposals that may require Board Approval, with a high level of discretion and without significant managerial support. Expert who can negotiate and communicate with senior executives at various sized organizations from a small business to multi-billion-dollar enterprise.
- Conceive, develop, deliver and follow techniques, practices and procedures within span of control for Fleet, Business Relations Development, compliance and security administration in a manner that protects the company's interests.
- Lead discussion and contract/exploratory related meetings with stakeholders, including projects that cross operational areas. Support for innovation council, advancing transformation strategies.
- Prepare, publish and present professional, high-quality evaluation materials and reports to leadership for executive review.
- Train and mentor Business Relations Development Team members.
- Show agility to manage multiple projects and keep various stakeholders informed to meet broad expectations.
- Carry out functions performed by any role within the Business Relations Development Team.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Eight or more years of experience.
- No supervisory or management experience.
- Four years of procurement experience or equivalent capability, such as extensive negotiation experience, project management experience or business analyst background.
- MS PowerPoint and MS Teams skills.
- Insurance operations experience.
- Advanced certification[s] in current area of expertise.
Salary range is $64872 - $98000.
