The Data Warehouse Manager is responsible for the growth and development of the Data Warehouse team including developers, BA/QA, and support staff. The role includes conducting regular one-on-one meetings, overseeing training processes for new employees, managing shared mailboxes, coordinating work tasks, maintaining quality of data warehouse processes, collaborating with business partners to transition processes and reports, and designing, developing, and documenting processes to support the Data Warehouse.
This position will be located at National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE, with a hybrid schedule requiring 50% in-office presence. Sponsorship for employment visa status is not available.
What will you do?- Supervise and guide Data Warehouse team members on technical and non-technical topics; collaborate with other managers to assess performance and growth areas.
- Communicate with external vendors, state regulatory representatives, internal product owners, subject matter experts, underwriters, managers, and programmers to understand, troubleshoot, and resolve complex problems.
- Manage team activities by defining work procedures, issuing instructions, analyzing and resolving work problems, and supporting employees in solving work issues.
- Oversee all aspects of data feeds and reports; analyze reporting processes and identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements to data and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience working with Data Warehouses, Data Marts, etc.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Proficiency with data manipulation software.
- Understanding of insurance coverages, rating schemes, and insurance products.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Azure (Dev Ops, Data Studio, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution.
- Excellent oral and written communication across all organization levels.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Proficiency in mathematical and statistical analysis.
