Position Summary

Assisting with UCEDD projects, job coaching, and administrative support for transition-based programming. Emphasis is placed upon job coaching and helping individuals ages 18-26 enhance their strengths and improve their working skills. The Trailblazers Program Job Coach works with students in a work‑place learning environment to improve their social skills and employment skills.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent; consideration for three years of related education/experience.
  • 1 year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; may consider three years of related education/experience.
  • No required license.
  • Required computer applications:
    Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook.
  • Required other computer applications:
    Microsoft Teams, One Note, One Drive.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills; ability to provide feedback to students in the moment; ability to work with individuals with disabilities and their families; excellent oral and written communication; ability to work with the disability advocacy community.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred previous job coaching experience.
  • Preferred license: APSE Certification.
  • Preferred additional knowledge, skills and abilities: (none specified).
