Regulatory Compliance Specialist
This role conducts safety audits, documents safety procedures, and completes reports addressing the efforts to protect youth. It performs fact‑finding investigations and analyzes safety measures.
Job Responsibilities- Examine, evaluate, and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of systems designed to ensure the protection and safety of youth receiving Boys Town services.
- Conduct proactive audits regarding youth safety and the systems in place.
- Organize data collection activities for the audit office.
- Analyze reports and data trends to draw conclusions regarding the completion and reporting of safety measures within Boys Town services.
- Participate in and complete fact‑finding investigations, including interviewing youth and staff.
- Collaborate internally to ensure proper processes are followed in accordance with confidentiality and documentation requirements.
- Prepare and present reports of results from the audits and investigations.
- Communicate departmental recommendations.
- Assume responsibilities of the area director as necessary.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to youth care.
- High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and with external business contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary confidentiality.
- Ability to build and sustain successful, professional relationships.
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and multi‑task while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to make quick decisions in sensitive and sometimes critical areas and present decisions to appropriate individuals.
- Ability to adapt responses to situations while maintaining procedural and regulatory integrity.
- Strong knowledge of the Boys Town model and fidelity of care.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
- Available to travel as necessary.
- Boys Town Family Home Program experience is preferred.
This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position. Physical RequirementsThe position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment with minimum exposure to physical risks. The employee will use office equipment such as a computer/laptop, monitor, keyboard, and a general workstation set‑up.
