Description

McGill Restoration is now seeking an Estimator/Project Manager to join our team! The Estimator will bid, capture, and manage specific dollar amounts of profitable work in our target markets and industries. A successful candidate will be able to balance their time between all duties and responsibilities to perform effectively within the team. This position requires a strong blend of technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed budgets and project cost estimates for clients
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Explore new project opportunities (sales calls, marketing, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints
  • Work with Operations Team to schedule project starts and timelines
  • Effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to address project requirements and changes
  • Manage current customer base and develop relationships with new clients
  • Visit projects during construction to review actual performance vs. estimated to enhance future estimates
  • Hours required outside of normal office hours
  • Exceptional attendance on a daily basis and at regularly scheduled weekly meetings
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality of company records and information at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree required, preferably in a construction field
  • 2+ years of Project Management experience, required
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices, preferred
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and prioritization skills whether in the field or in the office
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for dealing with clients and other important stakeholders
  • Flexibility and the capacity to make timely decisions and prioritize when new information or opportunities are presented
  • High accuracy in work; attention to detail
  • The ability to travel as needed for current projects and opportunities
