Position Summary The Project Manager III leads the full lifecycle of design and construction projects for government facilities. This role manages scope, budget, schedule, and contractor performance to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities Manage construction projects from planning through closeout
Develop scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and support procurement
Oversee daily field operations as on-site construction manager or inspector
Review and approve design documents, submittals, and cost estimates
Coordinate with A/E firms, contractors, and government stakeholders
Oversee commissioning, punch lists, and project turnover
Evaluate construction quality across building systems (HVAC, BAS, electrical, fire, mechanical)
Maintain documentation and ensure code compliance
Lead meetings and manage stakeholder communication
Travel to project sites as needed
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; and/or ten years of experience managing design and construction projects.
Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems, with the ability to solve complex technical and project challenges.
Proficiency in project management principles, construction scheduling, cost estimating, reading construction documents, and writing scopes of work and specifications.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with customers, contracting staff, contractors, financial managers, and other stakeholders.
Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management tools and estimating software.
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
