Data Center Coordinator

Salary: $35 - $40 per hour

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Overtime:
On needed basis

FLSA:
Non-Exempt

Working Hours

Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm; hours may vary to meet needs.

General Summary of the Position

The Data Center Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate underground utility data, coordinating field crew assignments, and supporting quality control operations for data center construction projects. This role requires land surveying experience to ensure that all staking, as‑built documentation, and utility mapping are accurate, up to date, and effectively communicated among clients, subcontractors, and Precision Surveying & Consulting field crews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain GIS database of all underground utilities; update weekly.
  • Download and organize all client-provided installation drawings and correlate staking points; check for discrepancies against install drawings, civil drawings, and models.
  • Process as-built data from other parties, integrate into PSC’s as-built process for quality control and layout; provide necessary staking data and drawings to field crews; send daily/weekly updates.
  • Overlay and markup as-built information on client install drawings, capture deviations, and maintain internal subcontractor as-built/redline documentation for tracking.
  • Coordinate with site contacts for quality control checks, issue identification, and provide documentation or solutions.
  • Dispatch and coordinate field crews for staking requests, as-built installed utilities, GPR scanning of precast wall panels, and setting/maintaining site control.
  • Manage staking requests for temporary or permanent site logistics elements (parking, signage, fencing, roads).
  • Ensure optimal distribution of field work, proper field methods for accuracy and organization.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Precision Survey field crews.
  • Perform and coordinate Quality Control checks on electrical/mechanical equipment, poured concrete, finished grade elevations, utility structures, anchor bolts, drilled piers, site monuments, and as-built/staking data accuracy.
  • Work with site contacts to identify issues, provide solutions, and document corrective actions.
  • Participate in subcontractor and redline sync meetings; coordinate RFI solutions with clients and subcontractors.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with project management and clients regarding project status and updates.
  • Represent the company professionally, fostering collaboration among coworkers, clients, and trades.
  • Demonstrate self-starter qualities and initiative in improving company operations.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety requirements – OSHA, excavation standards, pre-job truck inspections, safety documentation, truck and equipment maintenance.
  • Adhere to and promote the company’s core values in all aspects of the role (teamwork and collaboration).
  • Meet physical requirements: ability to perform surveying tasks, lift up to 50 lb, maneuver in construction sites, work in various weather conditions.
Preferred Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in land surveying or related field.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or coordination role.
  • Valid appropriate state driver’s license (general operator license).
  • 3+ years of CAD experience with GIS, AutoCAD, Blue Beam, etc.
