Data Center Coordinator Employment Details
  • Salary: $35-40 per hour
  • Full-time 40 hours per week

  • Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

General Summary of the Position

The Data Center Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate underground utility data, coordinating field crew assignments, and supporting quality control operations for data center construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • GIS & As-built Data Management
    • Maintain and update GIS database of all underground utilities on a weekly basis
    • Download, organize, and verify client-provided install drawings and staking points
    • Check for discrepancies between staking points and install or civil drawings/models
    • Integrate received as-built data into PSC’s quality control and layout processes
    • Provide staking data and drawings to field crews as required
    • Log updates and send daily/weekly as-built information to relevant stakeholders
    • Overlay and mark up as-built information on client install drawings, documenting deviations
    • Maintain internal subcontractor as-built/redline documentation forms
  • Field Crew Coordination
    • Coordinate with site contacts as needed to perform quality control checks and resolve issues
    • Dispatch field crews for staking requests, as-built utility installations, GPR scanning of precast panels, and site control establishment
    • Arrange staking for temporary or permanent site logistics elements (parking, signage, fencing, roads)
    • Ensure optimal field work distribution and proper methods for accuracy and organization
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to field crews
  • Quality Control
    • Perform and coordinate QC checks for electrical, mechanical, concrete, grade elevations, utility structures, and as-built data accuracy
    • Work with site contacts to identify and document corrective actions
    • Join subcontractor and redline sync meetings to align on progress and changes
    • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams for issue resolution and scheduling
    • Maintain clear communication with project management and clients regarding status updates
  • Communication & Collaboration
    • Represent the company professionally and promote a collaborative team atmosphere
    • Demonstrate initiative in improving company operations
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Comply with OSHA site safety requirements and excavation standards
    • Complete pre-job truck inspections and submit safety documentation on time
    • Maintain trucks and equipment to company standards

  • Physical Requirements
    • Perform rigorous walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and navigating construction sites, including excavations and trenches
    • Work in varied weather conditions and environments
  • Preferred Experience
    • 5+ years in land surveying or related field
    • Prior supervisory or coordination role
    • Valid general operator license (state driver’s license)
    • 3+ years CAD experience (GIS, AutoCAD, Blue Beam, etc.)
