Safety Professional
We are seeking a Safety Professional to support a data center off the Irvington exit for an 18-month project. The role involves partnering closely with field teams to promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, and coach crews on best practices across civil/site and vertical construction environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Identify risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions; track follow-through.
- Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.
- Support development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of safety programs.
- Deliver safety training and toolbox talks; coach field teams on safe work practices.
- Maintain safety documentation, logs, and compliance records.
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to drive accountability.
- Inspect equipment, vehicles, and job sites to ensure safe working conditions.
- Accompany personnel for post-incident protocols.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of construction safety experience.
- OSHA 30 (Construction) certification required.
- Ability to obtain CHST certification within 90 days.
- Experience in field/site work environments preferred (grading, utilities, civil/site development, or large-scale construction projects).
- Strong understanding of site work risks (excavation, utilities, grading, slip/fall, heavy equipment, etc.).
- Ability to influence, coach, and build relationships with field crews.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Exposure to large commercial, infrastructure, or data center projects is a plus (not required).
Work Environment
The role is based at a Google data center, with projects also located at two other data centers and two project sites at Offutt Airforce Base. The typical schedule includes five weekdays and a half-day on Saturday, with flexibility available when needed. Overtime will be provided. Breakfasts and lunches are sometimes provided onsite.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.08/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
