ResponsibilitiesThe Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Omaha, NE area. This role is responsible for overseeing all phases of telecom and related construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating field activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising construction crews and subcontractors, monitoring construction safety practices, managing project documentation, and maintaining clear communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
The Construction Manager will review plans and specifications, track progress against project control metrics, resolve on-site issues, and ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement of construction processes and supporting the integration of new technologies and green initiatives into project delivery.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading construction teams and coordinating subcontractors.
- Proficiency in construction and construction safety practices, including familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.
- Conducting on-site safety audits
- Experience in budgeting and project control, including cost tracking, scheduling, and progress reporting.
- Background in telecom, wireless infrastructure, or related construction fields is highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, project management, and client teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in fast-paced, field-based environments.
- Proficiency with construction management software and standard office tools (e.g., MS Office, scheduling software).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site at project locations as required.
