Compensation:$65,000 - $100,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Schedule construction operations and create a construction timeline to ensure project deadlines are met Ensure teams work to follow all health and safety standards to prevent injuries and obstacles to project completion, and quickly report any safety regulation issues
Conduct business with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors to negotiate profitable contracts
Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects
Team Coordination:
Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project initiation
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication of expectations
Foster effective communication and teamwork among project stakeholders
Client Interaction:
Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the project lifecycle
Maintain open communication with clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns
Manage client expectations and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
Quality Control:
Implement quality control measures to uphold the company's standards of excellence
Perform regular inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards
Budget and Cost Management:
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring projects are completed within the allocated budget
Review and approve expenses related to projects, including draw requests from subcontractors/trade partners, to ensure accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines
Facilitate change orders and execute them in a timely manner to keep margins tight
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and other relevant records
Generate regular project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
Problem Solving:
Identify issues or challenges that may arise during projects and proactively develop solutions to address them Escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary, along with recommended courses of action
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze project performance and outcomes to identify areas for improvement
Propose and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications:
One year of previous experience as a construction project manager required
Experience using construction or project management software preferred
Strong communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills
In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar/related role Familiarity with construction project management software (CRM) is highly valued
