Job Description
Olsson is seeking a Civil Construction Manager/Inspector to join our team, working on diverse construction projects throughout the Omaha metropolitan area. As a Construction Manager/Inspector, you would be responsible for complex construction projects, managing and overseeing the quality of construction at the project site. In this role you will act as a quality assurance manager representing the owner with regards to all construction activities.
Duties include tracking that special inspections and materials testing is being completed, overseeing RFIs and submittals, attendance at project meetings and providing verification overall that the quality documentation of the project is being completed per the owners' requirements.
- Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications at various stages of a project.
- Initiate actions needed to keep construction progress on schedule.
- Solve on-site problems and situations regarding construction of the project and design modifications.
- Work in all types of terrain and weather conditions on project sites in various stages of construction.
- Identify and avoid potential hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites.
- The use of a company truck for transportation to and from job sites.
- Applicable PPE (personal protective equipment) provided.
- Prescription safety eyewear and work boot reimbursement program.

- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving history.
- Schedule flexibility.
- 3-5 years' experience performing construction materials testing, observation, or construction administration.
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Grade 1, Nuclear Gauge Safety Training, and OSHA
10 or OSHA
30 preferred but not required. - Associate or bachelor's degree in a construction related field preferred but not required.
