DescriptionWe are seeking a Full-Time Construction Manager in our Omaha office. The ideal candidate for this team will be a self-starter who demonstrates proficiency of construction administration services and applies this knowledge to support successful project execution. The candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members professionally.
Additionally, this candidate will:
- Ensures accurate and timely reporting, quality control, and compliance with specifications on all civil infrastructure projects including sanitary and storm drains and paving operations.
- Mentors and trains team members; actively supports development and participates in performance feedback processes and progressing towards supervision of team members.
- Reviews Working Day Reports and Daily Diaries completed by staff to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across projects.
- Serves as a resource to the team, providing guidance on field challenges and supporting decision-making in complex situations.
- Work directly with engineers and site staff to address challenges, develop solutions, and maintain alignment with project goals and standards.
- Oversees day-to-day operations, including reviewing timesheets and ensuring proper time allocation across active jobs.
- Demonstrates excellent safety practices and behaviors on project sites
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Ten years’ experience with Construction Observation/Management
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and PDF editor.
- Proficient math skills and ability to read various construction plans and documents
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with longer hours while maintaining concentration in varying weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to work in both the field and office settings
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly; up to 75 pounds occasionally for utility covers with tool-aided assistance.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, on uneven terrain, and construction sites.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering or related
- 12 years’ experience with Construction Observation/Management
