Job Description & How to Apply Below

Cultivating passion and community through quality dance education.

The Omaha Academy of Ballet is a nonprofit arts organization that has inspired dancers since 1962. While ballet is OAB’s primary focus, we offer a variety of dance styles, including classical ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, and creative movement. OAB offers a robust schedule of classes (averaging 110-120 per year), engages the community through outreach programming and events, and provides performance opportunities through Omaha Dance Project, Heartland Youth Ballet, and the Spring Recital.

OAB is proud to offer two large studio locations to serve over 430 dancers from 350 families. Centrally located, OAB Midtown’s 10,000 sq. ft. of studios is on the same block as Omaha Conservatory of Music and Omaha Community Playhouse, and is adjacent to the new Omaha Central Public Library.

OAB West, conveniently located at 132 nd and Center, offers an additional four studios for families looking for a prime location closer to Millard, Elkhorn, and other communities.

Founded in 2005, Omaha Dance Project (ODP) is OAB's community performance program open to dancers throughout the metro. This rigorous program aims to provide non-professionals with the chance to experience aprofessional-style performance, working with guest choreographers on original works.

Guest ensembles are also invited to perform during this annual celebration.

The Heartland Youth Ballet is a pre-professional dance company dedicated to the artistic and technical development of young dancers. HYB serves OAB students aged 7 through 18, offering exceptional training and meaningful performance opportunities. Whether dancers pursue professional careers or other paths, HYB fosters discipline, confidence, creativity, and skills that support success in all areas of life.
