Dentist – Omaha Correctional Center

Location:

Omaha, NE. Salary: $60.363 per hour, plus a $3.00 per hour facility differential for hours worked. Salary based upon experience.

• Conduct periodic examinations of inmates' teeth, gingiva, and oral mucous for infections and diseases, and prepare charts.
• Diagnose diseases and lesions, take X-rays, and prepare study models as necessary.
• Provide restorative dentistry.
• Conduct oral surgery, including administration of anesthesia and extraction of teeth by incision, excision, or extirpation.
• Administer drugs orally, topically, by injection, and/or prescribe medications.

• Degree in Dentistry.
• License to practice dentistry in Nebraska.
• Successful completion of a background security check.
• Passing a pre‑employment medical exam and drug test.
• Successful completion of the fully paid Nebraska Department of Correctional Services Training Program after staff training academy.
