Job Summary and Responsibilities

CHI Health Clinic and Creighton University are seeking Academic Hematology/Oncology Division Chief. This is a full time employed position offering Faculty appointment with Creighton University and the opportunity to build a new fellowship program. The ideal candidate will provide patients and their families with access to the latest treatments and resources in a compassionate manner.

As the Division Chief:
  • Build a new Academic Division of Hematology Oncology
  • Start a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship;
    Program Director will have additional dedicated academic FTE
  • Recruit new faculty to the program
  • 0.1 FTE Academic/Chief; 0.2TE Medical Director; 0.7 FTE Clinical
  • Possible opportunities for involvement with the Hereditary Cancer Center
  • Faculty appointment with Creighton University School of Medicine
  • Participate in Clinical Trials and Research
  • Partner with Radiation Oncology
  • Participate in weekly tumor board
  • Comprehensive patient and family resources including genetics
  • Large established Employed Primary Care referral base
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology with a minimum of 7 years experience post fellowship.
  • Current rank of Associate Professor or higher.
  • Experienced with research and fellowship education.
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Ability to obtain Nebraska License.
