Position: Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Anesthesiology;Cardiac Anesthesiology

Description

This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work directly in a fast-paced medical environment, providing high-quality anesthetic care to patients in need.

In this role, you will play a critical part in our medical practice, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal anesthetic management during cardiac surgeries. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing patient care and outcomes, while you work with advanced technologies and protocols that define our innovative practice.

Responsibilities
  • Administer general and regional anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels accordingly
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop anesthesia care plans
  • Conduct preoperative assessments and administer necessary medications
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in anesthesiology
  • Manage postoperative pain control and recovery
  • Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff when necessary
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Current board certification in Anesthesiology
  • Experience in Cardiac Anesthesiology is preferred
  • Valid medical license to practice in Nebraska
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality of care
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing education and professional development

Level I Trauma

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8 to 10-hour shifts

Weeknight and weekend call shifts

Open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases

EMR:
Epic

Must be board-certified

TEE certification required

Paid travel & expenses
