Position Summary

The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep is recruiting a pulmonary and critical care medicine specialist with a dedicated interest in lung transplantation. This faculty position offers the unique opportunity to devote 50% of your clinical effort to lung transplant care, working within one of the most comprehensive and collaborative transplant centers in the nation.

In this role, you will become part of a highly skilled lung transplant team, providing patients with seamless care—from pre-evaluation and surgery through long-term follow-up. Our clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine, is one of only a handful of institutions nationwide to perform all solid organ transplants under one roof, offering unparalleled resources and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The successful candidate should be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree), board certified/eligible in pulmonary and critical care medicine, with additional fellowship training in lung transplant pulmonary medicine. We invite experienced pulmonary critical care physicians with genuine interest in lung transplantation to consider this opportunity. Candidates should have an interest in teaching along with passion to help patients and their families deal with serious life‑threatening illness.
