REQ-Provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with allergic, asthmatic, and immunologic disorders. Delivers high-quality, evidence-based care in both outpatient and consultative settings, collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and supports organizational goals related to quality, patient safety, education, and clinical outcomes.##
** MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:*** ## Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with allergic, immunologic, and respiratory conditions.* ## Manages acute and chronic conditions including:
Environmental allergies, food allergies, drug allergies, asthma, Eczema and atopic dermatitis, Urticaria and angioedema, immunodeficiency disorders, allergic rhinitis and sinus disease* ## Conducts and interpret diagnostic procedures, including skin testing, pulmonary function testing, and laboratory evaluations.* ## Develops individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.* ## Prescribes and manages pharmacologic therapies and immunotherapy treatments.* ## Assesses and manages allergic emergencies, including anaphylaxis.
* ## Provides education regarding disease processes, triggers, prevention strategies, and treatment plans.* ## Counsels patients and families regarding medication use, environmental controls, and allergy management.* ## Promotes patient engagement and adherence to care plans.* ## Collaborates with primary care providers, pediatricians, pulmonologists, dermatologists, ENT specialists, and other healthcare professionals.* ## Coordinates referrals, consultations, and follow-up care as appropriate.* ## Maintains timely and accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
* ## Participates in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.* ## Supports infection prevention and risk management activities.* ## Maintains current knowledge of developments in allergy and immunology practice.* ####
** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:*** ## Comprehensive knowledge of allergy, asthma, and immunologic disorders.* ## Proficiency in allergy testing and interpretation of diagnostic results.* ## Ability to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.* ## Strong communication and patient education skills.* ## Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams.* ## Skill in clinical decision-making and problem-solving.
* ## Proficiency in electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.## ##

* REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*** ## Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school required.* ## Board Certification or board eligible in Allergy and Immunology and medical licensure or eligibility in the State of Nebraska required.* ## Other Duties:
