St. Wenceslaus Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Math Teacher for grades 7 and 8 for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate has strong math content knowledge and a commitment to engaging students through effective instruction and differentiation while supporting the Catholic mission of the school.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach math to students in grades 7 and 8 using curriculum-aligned instruction
- Design and deliver lessons that incorporate differentiation to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
- Integrate Catholic values into classroom culture and daily interactions
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student success
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics concepts and instruction
- Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of learners
- Effective classroom management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with middle school students
- Willingness to support and participate in the Catholic mission and faith life of the school
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
- Valid teaching certification
- Middle school teaching experience preferred but not required
