*** JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
** The Camp Assistant will support the Chef Instructor in culinary-based lessons to kids ages 8-16. Other duties include ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the room and equipment. Hours are Mon - Thursday, 8am - 5pm. No evenings, no weekends. Requires passing a background check.
** The Camp Assistant supports the Chef Instructor during hands-on, culinary-based lessons for campers ages 8–16. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation of the classroom and equipment.
**** DATES & HOURS
*** Thursday, June 4* – Training Day
* Monday, June 8* – First day of camps
- Camps run Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
- Additional workshops and special camps may run until 4:00 p.m.
* Thursday, July 30* – Last day of camps
** DESCRIPTION OF WORK
** Camp Assistants are responsible for guiding a small group of approximately four campers. While the Camp Instructor leads the overall lesson, Assistants ensure their group is:
- Working safely - Following sanitation practices - Taking turns appropriately - Receiving help with basic tasks as needed
** LOCATION
* * All camps take place at the Institute for the Culinary Arts on MCC’s Fort Omaha Campus, near 32nd Street and Sorensen Parkway.
