Reporting to the Associate Director of Scholarships, Financial Support and Scholarships, the Assistant Director, Scholarships works as part of a scholarship team that is responsible for the oversight, awarding and administration of University of Nebraska at Omaha scholarship programs. This position will assist in all areas of scholarship administration, with a focus on major scholarship award administration such as Buffett and Goodrich.
This position will also focus on assisting with university and college remissions including selecting new recipients, completing the award and communication process, and reviewing renewals. Participates in outreach activities pertaining to scholarships and other forms of financial aid.

* Work with programs to determine/confirm eligibility for programs
* Set up new and renewal awards in PS
* Monitor tuition/fee specific awards for changes based on enrollment status
* Adjust aid packages and monitor for overawards and over budget issues

Scholarship remission processing Duties:
* Select new recipients, complete award/communication process
* Review recipients to determine disbursement method and renewal eligibility
* Manage manual changes to awards due to enrollment and eligibility changes
* Administer college remissions (mainly UNO ADV) and continually monitor budgets
* Set up, disburse and monitor manual disbursements for all college nonresident remissions

Assist with endowed/miscellaneous scholarship duties Duties:
Review and correct over awards, process third party aid in package, set up fund budgets in student system, set up new item types. Set up and disburse awards, monitor for posting issues. Monitor disbursement reports and resolve holds and issues.

Provide customer service to students/families/faculty/staff. Represent office when needed for university and outside events. Assist with athletic aid and outside scholarship check processing as needed during high volume periods.
