Job DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Paraprofessional - Family Room Liaison
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An Associate's degree, or completion of 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours at an institution of higher learning, or demonstrated proficiency in ability to assist in instruction of reading, writing and mathematics via state or locally approved competency test.
- Evidence of good mental and physical health.
- Dependable with good work attendance record.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Some evening duties may be required, e.g., parent/teacher conferences, parenting activities, open house, etc.
A family resource room in schools will serve as the focal point for encouraging and enhancing family and community involvement. The liaison is required to complete training sessions with additional in-services. Liaisons will be required to participate in special activities determined by the coordinating team.
