Position Overview
Tulane University Law School invites nominations and applications for the Ashton Phelps Chair in Constitutional Law. This position is held at the level of tenured, full professor and calls for an academic leader with a record of distinguished scholarship, excellence in teaching, and the demonstrated capacity to direct a well-established program.
Responsibilities- Scholarly research and publication.
- Classroom teaching.
- Participation in faculty governance.
- Active engagement with faculty within the Law School and throughout the University, providing leadership for integrative research activities and significant engagement with academic institutions and professional organizations.
- Leadership in research, curriculum, and public engagement.
Record of distinguished scholarship, excellence in teaching, and demonstrated capacity to direct a well-established program in a respective field.
Preferred AreasOpportunity to lead and expand the program in environmental, energy, maritime, international, and comparative law.
Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.
