The Marketing & Entrepreneurship Department (M&E) in the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track Instructor position in Business Statistics to begin in August 2026. Applicants should demonstrate expertise in the application and/or teaching of statistical methods used in business decision-making contexts. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration requires students to successfully complete CBA's Business Statistics course.
This course (or its equivalent) is also a foundation course for unconditional admission in CBA's Master of Business Administration and Master of Accounting programs.
The new hire will teach business statistics and other quantitative reasoning courses as needed. This position will play a key role in maintaining curriculum currency and relevance, emphasizing technical competence, data-informed decision-making, and adaptability in a rapidly changing business environment. Full-time instructors also provide service to the department, college, university, and/or profession and maintain their qualifications through various professional engagement activities.
The position is initially a one- or two-year contract (fall and spring semesters), renewable based on performance. Instructors typically teach four course sections per semester and may have the opportunity to teach during the summer for additional compensation.
Successful candidates will possess a master's degree in mathematics or a closely related field, or a PhD in social sciences from an accredited institution and demonstrate teaching of statistical methods or work experience involving application of statistical methods and tools.
