Job Overview

Applications are being accepted for a 7 hour per day Special Education Resource Paraprofessional position at Bellevue Elementary School. The special education paraprofessional works under the direction and supervision of a teacher or other designated member of the school staff. The special education paraprofessional helps special education students acquire skills and competencies taught by the classroom teacher. Duty hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., for a total of 7 hours per day.

• Supervise and work with students one-on-one and in small groups as needed, assisting the teacher in the classroom.
• Lifting, providing physical assistance, and supporting students in the lunchroom, toileting, transportation, and recreational activities throughout the building.

• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of oneself or others, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position for its full duration.
