Qualifications

• Possess or be eligible for certification as an Art Teacher.
• Experience, knowledge and background related to NYS Common Core Standards/Next Generation Learning Standards.
• Evidence of strong communications and interpersonal skills with parents, staff, and students.
• Knowledge of strategies in the areas of content areas.
• Evidence of strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to use varied instructional methods and assessments to support:
  • Engaging learning
  • Higher‑order thinking skills
  • Meaningful, authentic use of knowledge
• Ability to interact positively with community, faculty, staff, and students on a daily basis.
• Commitments to working with colleagues as a positive team member, curriculum development, professional development, collaboration with colleagues, interdisciplinary instruction, differentiated instruction, and integration of technology into the classroom.
