Overview

Applications are being accepted for a 7-hour per day Special Education Resource Paraprofessional position at Betz Elementary School. The paraprofessional works under the supervision of a teacher or designated staff member and helps special education students acquire skills and competencies taught by the classroom teacher.

• Supervise and work with students one-on-one and in small groups when needed.
• Assist the teacher in the classroom.
• Provide lifting and physical assistance as required.
• Assist in the lunchroom, with toileting, transportation, and recreational activities in all areas of the building.

• Applicant must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position for the duration of the assignment.
• This position is subject to a veterans' preference.

Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
