Qualifications:

• Valid certification/license as a Special Education Teacher
• Previous experience with middle school students and/or classrooms serving severe disabilities
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and adaptive teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to create inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom environments
• Willingness to work onsite throughout the entire contract period

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with severe disabilities in a self-contained setting
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs in collaboration with support staff and families
• Foster social, emotional, and academic growth within a nurturing classroom community
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and adaptive resources suitable for diverse learning needs
• Participate in parent conferences, IEP meetings, and professional development opportunities
• Maintain accurate records, document student progress, and adhere to compliance standards
