Position OverviewAssistant Professor (tenure‑track) in Auditing to begin in August 2026. Requires expertise in auditing, data analytics, and emerging technologies including AI in assurance and financial reporting. The new hire will teach undergraduate and Master of Accounting courses, develop specialized coursework integrating AI and analytics, advance innovative curricular initiatives, maintain an active research agenda in auditing or related areas, and support long‑term capacity building through scholarship, curriculum development, and student mentorship.

- Teach core undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting, auditing, and related areas.
- Develop and deliver specialized coursework that integrates AI, data analytics, and emerging technologies into the accounting curriculum.
- Maintain an active research agenda in auditing or related fields supporting AACSB scholarly academic qualifications.
- Provide service to the department, college, university, and profession.
- Support UNO’s metropolitan mission through community partnerships, applied research, and engagement with regional industry.
- PhD with specialization in accounting or taxation (ABD considered) or a terminal degree in a combination of law and accounting.
- Evidence of potential for teaching excellence in accounting.
- Clearly defined research agenda and evidence of interest in and ability to conduct high‑quality research.
Preferred experience in AI, data analytics, and emerging technologies applied to assurance and financial reporting.
