Mercy, a Catholic, college-preparatory high school dedicated to empowering young women through faith, academic excellence, and leadership, seeks a passionate and collaborative Part‑Time Math Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of math, foster critical thinking, and support the mission of Catholic education while creating a positive, engaging classroom environment for young women.
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Part‑Time Math Teacher to join our faculty. This position is responsible for providing high-quality mathematics instruction that supports student achievement, builds foundational skills, and promotes confidence in mathematical reasoning. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering strong relationships with students and contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment.
RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards‑aligned mathematics instruction to assigned courses
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including both struggling and advanced students
- Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and accountability
- Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments
- Provide timely and meaningful feedback to support student growth
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum alignment and student success
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school initiatives as required
Education and Experience:
- Passion for working in an all‑girls learning environment
- Ability to integrate faith, values, and character development into instruction
- Willingness to contribute to the broader school community through clubs, activities, or coaching
This position is offered on a one‑year basis and will be reviewed each year based on student enrollment and the needs of the school. Applicants must complete a background check and the Archdiocese of Omaha Safe Environment training.
