About The Role:
Instructional Coach

The Instructional Coach is a school‑based leadership role responsible for driving teacher development and student achievement through consistent, high‑quality coaching and professional learning. At the core of the role is a cycle of daily classroom observation, real‑time and weekly feedback, and data‑driven planning meetings that help teachers strengthen their instructional practice and meet the academic needs of every student. The coach leads content internalization, oversees curriculum and assessment response, and designs and delivers professional development — ensuring that instructional priorities are deeply understood and consistently implemented across classrooms.

Beyond individual teacher growth, the Instructional Coach partners with the Principal to develop school‑wide instructional systems, and build a structured, achievement‑oriented school culture grounded in high expectations and culturally responsive practice. The Instructional Coach works in partnership with instructional leaders at Opportunity Education’s other campuses.

  • Contribute to the broader life of the school, supporting events, systems, and student experiences beyond the core role
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and school leadership to ensure alignment between academic preparation and post‑secondary goals
  • Serve as a visible, engaged member of the school community, building strong relationships with students across all grades
  • Step in to support school needs as they arise; this role, like all at Quest Forward, extends beyond a narrow job description
