The Curriculum Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the Curriculum Department by organizing, preparing, and maintaining curriculum materials for Completely KIDS' before- and after-school programs. This role works closely with the Program Innovation & Curriculum Manager to ensure that program sites receive accurate, complete, and high-quality materials while maintaining an organized and efficient curriculum warehouse.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys creating systems that support meaningful learning experiences for youth.

Essential Job Functions Responsibility

Curriculum Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Curriculum Warehouse, including materials inventory, check-in/check-out systems, and workspace organization.
  • Prepare, organize, and distribute curriculum materials for program sites, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Process returned curriculum bins and replenish materials for future sessions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs.
  • Assist in maintaining systems for tracking curriculum materials and equipment.
  • Support the preparation of materials for staff trainings, workshops, and organization-wide events.
  • Assist in guiding practicum students, interns, or volunteers working in the warehouse.
  • Assist the Program Innovation & Curriculum Manager with curriculum-related projects and implementation.
  • Review curriculum materials for organization, completeness, and usability.
  • Support the rollout of new curriculum initiatives by preparing materials and resources.
  • Provide occasional logistical support for trainings, workshops, and conferences.

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Comfortable with inventory management and operational tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn organizational tracking systems.
  • Interest in youth development, education, or after school programming.

  • Knowledge of Completely KIDS mission, values, vision, and ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of Completely KIDS company requirements including but not limited to the Employee Handbook and all organization-wide policies for compliance and compliance procedures affecting specific duties and responsibilities.
Work Experience
  • Volunteer or paid experience working with at-risk, school age children is preferred.
  • Volunteer or teaching experience in an educational setting with lesson plans is preferred.
  • High school diploma required; some college or coursework in education, child development, or related fields strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

Seeing:
Must be able to read reports and use computer.

Hearing:
Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with others.

Standing/Walking:
Must be able to stand and walk the majority of the time.

Climbing/Stoop/Kneeling:
Must be able to climb stairs or kneel if required.

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing:
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling:
Must be able to write, type, and use phone system.

Working Conditions

Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed is required. Position requires the ability to stand and walk the majority of the time and to stand and lift supplies onto shelves.
