Responsibilities Accommodated Testing Administration
- Manage the Omaha SAS Testing Center, including coordination of all test appointments, oversight of the proctoring systems and direct test proctoring, facilitation of specific test accommodations (e.g., readers or assistive technology), and receipt and return of tests to faculty.
- Collaborate with faculty and Exams Team, if appropriate, to prepare quizzes, tests, exams in accessible formats.
- Create, revise, communicate and enforce Testing Center policies and procedures. Educate students and faculty (through both proactive and reactive strategies) on best practices in accommodated testing and Testing Center utilization. Communicate and solve problems with faculty and staff in order to effectively facilitate test-related accommodations.
- Maintain the Testing Center facility, computers, and associated assistive technology.
- Manage the SAS Testing Portal module of the Blue Access software management tool and ensure that student data is accurate and secure.
- Maintain organized case notes, documentation, and confidential records.
- Conduct interactive intake meetings with students to gather relevant information regarding disability documentation, history of accommodations, and academic needs.
- Provide guidance and support to students in understanding the accommodation process and available resources.
- Stay current with best practices, laws, and regulations in disability services in higher education.
- Assist in department initiatives, trainings, and outreach to promote accessibility and inclusivity.
- Contribute to Student Success divisional efforts that support the persistence, retention, and overall success of Creighton students as needed.
- Bachelorâs degree in education, counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, or related field. Masterâs degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Experience in a higher education accessibility/disability services office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences.
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and alternative formats.
