Job Summary
The Arts department seeks a positive, supportive, and dynamic Art Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference is given to candidates committed to student success, equity, and inclusion, and who use the classroom/lab experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance.
Responsibilities- Teach each full range of Art Courses at multiple campus locations.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction in a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
- Create and maintain a safe, encouraging, and respectful learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Develop and use appropriate instructional materials and technology.
- Support student learning outside of class as appropriate.
- Participate in department meetings and professional development.
- Travel to other campuses as required; may teach day, evening, or weekend classes.
- Master of Fine Arts degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline or a related discipline.
$580 per Equivalent Credit Hour (ECH). Salary commensurate with the level of the position, education, and experience.
Additional Requirements- A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
- Ability to travel to other campuses and teach day, evening, and/or weekend classes.
