Position: Teacher (7:00am-3:30pm, 9:30am-6:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, M-F)

(7:00am-3:30pm, 9:30am-6:00pm, 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday‑Friday)

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage children between 6 weeks and 5 years alongside a co‑teacher in an assigned infant, toddler, or preschool classroom.
  • Apply knowledge of child development to plan and implement developmentally appropriate practices and emergent curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, parents, and other early‑childhood professionals.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities including preparing lesson plans and maintaining documentation and child portfolios.

Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, and/or associate’s degree with coursework in Early Childhood Education and two years of experience, and/or a minimum of four years of relevant early‑childhood education/experience required.
  • Must have practicum experience completed in a child‑care environment while attending school; significant, relevant experience may be substituted depending on the candidate’s ability to meet education and practicum plan requirements.
  • Must have experience and proficiency with basic computer software such as word processing, data entry, and email.
  • Knowledge of early‑childhood developmental care required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills tailored to children, peers, parents, etc.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership skills that include the ability to lead a classroom of children and student staff while making independent decisions and solving problems in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field, plus two years of experience working in an early‑childhood program preferred.
  • Experience with “Teaching Strategies Gold” software and knowledge of “Creative Curriculum” preferred.
