Position Information
Job Title:
Writing Center Graduate Consultant
Department:
English
- Conduct individual consultations with graduate and undergraduate students working on writing projects, including course papers, theses, dissertations, conference papers, articles, and book projects. Consultations will include face-to-face and online sessions.
- Conduct/assist with workshops on topics of interest to graduate students, including research, citation, and specific academic genres.
10 hours/week.
Required Qualifications- Master of Arts or Science in any academic field.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching academic writing in a writing center or classroom setting.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Submit a resume/vitae that includes contact information for at least two references who can speak to your teaching ability/potential.
- Experience teaching or tutoring multilingual writers.
Regularly sits; may stand, walk. See, hear, speak and use of hands.
