Clarkson College is currently seeking a Director of Graduate Nursing Program.
This position directs the MSN and DNP curricula and ensures compliance with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The director supervises all graduate nursing courses, coordinates program aspects such as online education, monitors student and academic policies, and allocates adequate resources. The role involves managing more than 30 faculty, setting job‑performance expectations, overseeing department operations and budget, and coordinating instruction for over 400 students locally and nationwide.
The director reports directly to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and collaborates with academic and service directors to support the college’s mission and direction. The director will ensure all academic and student‑related efforts achieve the highest outcomes and maintain local, state, and federal compliance and accreditation standards.
- Doctoral degree required (PhD, EdD, DNP, etc.). If the doctorate is not in nursing, a Master’s degree in nursing is also required.
- Current licensure in discipline in the State of Nebraska or a compact state.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in higher‑education administration or prior management experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a faculty member in higher education.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with on‑campus and/or online curriculum development and course delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills; strong organizational and time‑management skills; high sense of urgency; and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in administrative systems such as employee information systems, assessment outcomes, budget tracking;
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, video conferencing, and employee intranet systems.
