The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) position is a full‑time, live‑in role that has primary responsibility for managing the daily operations of multiple apartment‑style residence halls within a residential area. Key functions include student staff selection, training, and supervision; student conduct adjudication; policy enforcement; student leadership development; and community building through programmatic efforts.
The RLC is expected to implement a student development approach and in all aspects of the position be guided by the core values of respect, education, care, and service. The RLC will work with and collaborate with the Senior Residence Life Coordinator (SRLC), Associate Director of Housing and Residence Life, Director of Housing & Residence Life, as well as other administrative staff.

Supervision of Student Staff
Duties:
Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and training of RA student staff members for their area. Supervise the RA student staff in all facets of their positions and conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings for individual feedback and ongoing training. Assist with the development and delivery of training at the outset of the fall and spring semesters for the student staff members within HRL.

Duties:
Serve in the on‑call duty rotation, assisting student paraprofessional staff members who are responding to students in crisis, facilities issues, or intervening in instances where the UNO Student Code of Conduct has been violated. Assist with completing regular rounds of their assigned area with student staff, advise student staff on appropriate procedures, and directly liaise with University officials and/or on‑site emergency response personnel to direct both staff and residents during crisis situations.
Notify the appropriate parties within Housing & Residence Life when there are emergency issues associated with students or the residence hall facilities that require additional intervention or follow‑up beyond what can be provided by the live‑in residence life staff.
